What Falcon houses have to deal with
No shade, so every wall is a south wall
In a city subdivision, mature trees and close neighbours shade a good part of the house and the north side ages slowly. On the plains east of Powers there is nothing between the house and the sky. Every elevation takes the full high-altitude UV load, which means chalking and fading show up more evenly and more quickly across the whole building rather than concentrating on two walls. Practically, that argues for a better-grade coating on the whole exterior rather than just the sunny side.
Wind is a scheduling constraint
Falcon and Peyton get sustained wind off the plains that a sheltered city street does not. Wind drifts spray, dries a film faster than the manufacturer intended, and puts grit into a wet coat - and out here there is also loose dust and agricultural debris to carry. That is why a plains exterior gets worked around the wind rather than straight through it, and why brush-and-roll or back-rolling sometimes makes more sense than spray on an elevation that a gust can reach.
Mostly newer builds, on the hardboard cusp
Falcon grew fast from the 1990s and has kept growing, so most of the stock is modern - hardboard, fibre-cement, vinyl and stucco in roughly that chronological order. The older end of that run is now on its second or third exterior coat, which is where preparation matters most: each previous coat is a layer the next one must bond to, and the weak link is whichever of them went on over chalk or without a primer. A house with three coats on it needs the failing ones taken back, not a fourth added.

Does the wind delay the work?
Sometimes, and it should. Painting through a strong wind puts grit in the film, drifts spray onto things it should not reach, and dries the surface faster than the coating wants. It is better to work around a windy afternoon than to hand you a finish that shows it.
Do you paint outbuildings, shops and metal buildings?
Yes, and they are common out here. Metal needs the right primer for whatever is already on it - the wrong one lifts - so it gets looked at specifically rather than lumped in with the house.
